In a revelation that’s surprising to pretty much no one, University of Pennsylvania and Temple University ranked #1 and #2 on a list that ranks the “Most Dangerous Colleges to Go To.” Check out these staggering statistics:
Murders: UPenn had four, Temple had one.
Forcible Rapes: UPenn had 27, Temple had 34.
Robberies: Upenn had 176, Temple had 192
Aggravated assaults: UPenn had 40, Temple had 97
Burglaries: UPenn had 117, Temple had 747
Car thefts: UPenn had 28, Temple had 56
Arsons: UPenn had 0, Temple had 1
——-
Amazingly, despite being outnumbered by Temple on almost every category, UPenn ranked more dangerous than Temple due to the fact that fewer people attend the college. There is an added element of danger about going to college in the city, but both UPenn and Temple are fine universities, and I doubt this list means anything or comes as any kind of surprise to anybody who attends there, or who has attended there…because they’re actually in the city. Unlike, say, Villanova, which ranked number 1 on a list that ranked consumption of caviar. Or not. But you get the idea. Nova sucks.
